Isaiah 43:11-13

I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior.
First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.
No foreign god has ever done this.

You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord.
“From eternity to eternity I am God.
No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.
No one can undo what I have done.”

Redemption is one of God's greatest gifts.  There are so many worldly events that happen to us.  Often we are not able to start over, or recover from our mistakes.  God always gives us a "do-over" button to push with Him.  We need to know that God will always be there if we allow Him to be.  Our Scripture today once again talks about salvation.  Isaiah reports that we have no other Savior but God.  Isaiah references prophesy to make sure the Israelites remember who God was.  In effect, Isaiah reports that God predicted the rescue of His people and then did it!  Lots of people and "gods" talk.  Our true God speaks and delivers.  Then comes the greatest comforting statement to all of us.  God tells us that no one can snatch any of us out of His hand, nor undo anything God has done.  Wow!  Think about these two statements carefully and then realize this important fact.  It is not Satan we need to be in fear of, as he can have no influence over our lives unless we choose him.  Yes, you heard me correctly.  We need to be afraid of ourselves!  Satan and the world will try to manipulate us.  We will face what seems to be insurmountable challenges every day of our earthly lives.  It will all be very overwhelming, unless we remember one thing.  God is in charge and no one can snatch us from the palm of His hand.  No one can undo His grace and mercy.  That's all we need to know and it is the promise we need to claim daily.  Hang onto God tightly.  Commune with Him through His Word and prayer.  Praise Him with the timbrel and the harp.  Fellowship daily in the temple with God and His people.   When we do this, God tells us we will be witnesses to the fact that God is God!  Yes, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to save us, that we might have eternal life.  Even Isaiah knew this fact.   So, how long will God be our God and we be His people?  As a born-again Christian, Buzz Lightyear would say, "To Eternity and Beyond!!!"
