Psalm 14:1-2

Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race;
He looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.

We begin today a seven-part devotion series entitled, "Actions Speak Louder Than Words."  Last week we explored who we are in Christ Jesus.  Hopefully, we are well on the way to sorting that out with God!  To remind everyone the answer to this question, I refer you back to the last paragraph in Sunday's sermon.  We stated that all of us are unique creations in God, gifted to give Him honor, worship, and praise.  We also identified that in order to love our neighbor as ourselves, we must honor, love, and respect who we have been created to be.  David tells us today that anyone that says there is no God is a fool.  He further clarifies that these fools are corrupt and their actions are evil.  How much more plain could David be when he states, "Not one of them does good?"  We should be mindful of the fact that God is always looking down from heaven on the entire human race.  As we have discussed in previous devotions, God is looking for anyone that is truly wise.  As we move forward this week and contemplate our actions, let's make sure that we are viewed by God as "wise."  Our wisdom is truly in eyes of the beholder.  Our Beholder is God!
