Revelation 19:1-3

After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting,

“Praise the Lord!
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.  His judgments are true and just.
He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality.
He has avenged the murder of his servants.”

And again their voices rang out:  “Praise the Lord!
The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!”

Sometimes we focus too much on the struggle of being a Christian.  Today's Scripture focuses on the celebration of the victory of Christians.  I hope it is not a surprise to you that we know the end of this Christian story, and God Wins!  For 18 chapters in Revelation, we fight the good fight.  We encounter all the beasts, look Satan in the eye, hang out in Babylon and escape in time, and endure all matter of evil against God.  Sounds like our world today, doesn't it?  In Chapter 19, we Christians Win!  Our Scripture tells us that all evil, described as the great prostitute, is punished.  All immorality is gone.  All of the people who have died for the cause of Jesus are avenged.  Everything that we as Christians have been promised has now come true.  Hallelujah!  Let's not forget what we are supposed to do when all this happens.  We are supposed to "Praise the Lord."  By the way, not just on that final day of days here on earth.  When all the daily trials come your way, stand tall and let God fight your battles.  As the song says, "The Battle Belongs to the Lord!"  God will win.  Sometimes, not when and in the way you think He should, but make no mistake, God Wins.  When He does, jump up and Praise Him with everything you have.  Let it all out and be loud.  By the way, the smell of victory for God lasts forever.  How do we know?  The Scripture tells us by saying, "The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!"  So, take great joy in what we Christians know.  What is that?  God Wins!!!
