1 Corinthians 12:10-11

He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,

While another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts.

He alone decides which gift each person should have.

Today we conclude our five-part devotion series on spiritual gifts.  The gift of discernment is such an important gift.  So many of us would be so much better off and productive for God if we knew that the voice we were listening to was indeed God's.  Satan doesn't dress up like Hollywood portrays him.  As a matter of fact, more often than not, Satan tries to look like God.  If we are not careful, we will confuse the two and possibly not discover the truth until it is too late.  Notice that the gift of speaking in unknown languages is always accompanied by someone who can interpret them.  Beware of people speaking in tongues that cannot be translated by someone.  The Bible is clear.  These voices are not from God and must be avoided.  Finally, Paul wants to remind us that all these spiritual gifts are given to different people in different situations, but by only the One True God.  If we embrace all these gifts in each other, we will discover our joint calling, which is to build the Kingdom of God.  We would be wise to measure our goals for God by this precept.  If it is not glorifying to God and building His Kingdom, we simply shouldn't do it.  We began this series by asking the question "Are You Gifted?"  We will end by making a statement as all Christians should.  We Are Gifted!
