1 Corinthians 12:27-28

All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.

Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church:

First are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers,
Then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing,
Those who can help others,
Those who have the gift of leadership,
Those who speak in unknown languages.

In part ten of our twelve-part devotion series entitled, "The Age of Miracles!" Paul shares some important information with the Corinthians from God.  There are many now, and also during the time of Paul, that did/do not believe in miracles or healing.  After Jesus was crucified, buried, and ascended, most believed the "Age of Miracles" went with Him to heaven.  Christ, Paul, and the Bible tell us otherwise.  Notice that part of Christ's body, in the New Testament, was those that could do miracles and those that had the gift of healing.  These items/people are listed with apostles, prophets, teachers, and leadership.  We need to realize how important these two things are and that they exist today!  God is still in the miracle business!  We often limit God by only accounting for those miracles that involve physical healing.  While these miracles are important, God performs many other types of miracles every day in our lives.  While we don't know it, often times arriving safely at our destination may well be a miracle.  Certain people cross our life paths because God puts them there to assist us in our Christian walk.  I continue to see numerous miracles that God performs in people's lives every day.  We just need to look and recognize.  The Bible says we should not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  That includes appreciating and recognizing all the miracles God does in our daily lives and sharing those facts with others.  "The Miracle We Share with Another May Well Become Their Miracle!"
