Acts 28:23-24

So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul’s lodging.

He explained and testified about the Kingdom of God

And tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures.

Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening. Some were persuaded by the things he said, but others did not believe.

In the final chapter of our eighteen-part devotion series entitled, "Sharing God's Love!" we turn to the book of Acts and Paul's constant struggle with the Jewish people.  Remember Acts 2?  The people were all living together in one accord.  Everyone believed.  Everyone was sharing all that they had.  They were fellowshipping in the temple daily.  They were breaking bread together.  All was right with God's Kingdom.  In Acts 28, Paul is imprisoned and pleading with the Jews to accept Jesus Christ.  Our Scripture today tells us some very sad news.  Luke says that when Paul spoke about the love of Jesus, some were persuaded to believe, but others did not.  Even when Paul preached from morning to evening, there was no peace for many.  So what happened?  How did we go from accord to discord?  How does our faith become exactly the opposite?  Get ready for the answer that we don't want to hear.  Some people actually reject us and God, no matter what we do or say.  The Bible tells us that even when Paul was in prison and preached day and night, for some it simply didn't matter.  They still rejected the Savior.  Before we try to convince each other that this just isn't so, please stop and realize that God gave us freewill.  God knew that some of us would make that choice.  That is why there are sheep and goats.  That is why there is right and wrong.  That is why there is a heaven and a hell.  So what do we do when people reject God's love through us?  Do we stomp our feet and preach harder and longer?  Do we play more music, louder or softer, so they "get it?"  No, according to the Bible we do none of that.  Music and preaching are important.  They are key ingredients to sharing the love of God with others.  Without one key action out of all of us, the "bread" will never "rise."  Remember, we don't save anyone.  God does.  To that end, we must pray unceasingly.   We can never stop and we can't run around telling everyone what we are doing.  Just pray.  It is that simple!  God will determine the time and place for others to accept Him and His love.  It is also possible that God will just let their freewill condemn them to a life separated from the Almighty.  Either way, we are simply called to do two things, and two things only, whether we like it or not.  "Love and Pray...It is God's Only Way!"
