2 Samuel 22:30-32

In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.

“God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord's promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?

Sometimes we struggle in this world with exactly who God is.  I lobby that we often make Him something He is not.  Our relationship with God should not be one of asking for things all the time like a spoiled child.  We should not go to God in prayer only when we are in trouble or in need.  Our relationship with God should be daily and personal.  In order to achieve this, it is important that we know who God is to each of us.  First, God and His way are perfect.  We can crush any army or scale any wall when He is our God.  The longer we live, the more we realize that all of God's promises prove true.  He protects us from all of the world.  Wait, but bad things still happen to me.  Does that mean God is not protecting me?  Not at all.  It means that God gave us freewill and sometimes the choices we make have long-term consequences.  If we say or do something to someone else that hurts them, they are hurt!  We can ask for forgiveness and we can repent.  While we can expect forgiveness from other Christians, the hurt may still remain for a lengthy period of time.  We must remember that God sees all and He does forget.  We humans simply cannot.  Be careful what you say and do each day.  It will help if you remember who God is and who we are.  "God is our Lord and our Solid Rock!"
