Joshua 22:5-6

"But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him,

And serve him with all your heart and all your soul.”

So Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went home.

Joshua tells the Israelites, and all of us, to be very careful.  We are to obey all of the commands and instructions given to us by God through Moses.  I don't know about you, but it has been a long time since I started my daily prayer with acknowledging that I need to be careful and listen to Moses.  Maybe that is part of our daily problem!  Satan will attack the Godly every day.  Separation from God is Satan's chief weapon against us.  We must listen to Joshua when he tells us to love the Lord our God.  We must walk in His ways and obey His commandments.  We must hold firm to God.  Do we?  I lobby we do not.  As a result, Satan has a chance in our lives.  Once we have said yes to Satan, and no to God once, the next few times are so much easier.  I have known people that convince themselves that going to worship on Sunday is not necessary this week.  It is necessary every week.  How do I know?  The Bible tells us so.  Once you don't go one week, the next week's denial is much easier.  Soon, it is a given we don't go to worship, and Sunday becomes an "activity" day where we spend "family-time."  Seems okay and most would whole-heartily agree.  The problem is that it is not Biblical.  Our "family-time" on Sunday is meant to be in worship together.  According to the Bible, Sunday is not "theme park day" or "shopping day."  It is "Commune with God and worship day!"  The Bible says we should make the Sabbath Holy.  Let's heed the warning and advice of Joshua and Moses.  Let's be careful to obey all of God's commands.  Let's change our lives to conform to God and the Bible, not the other way around.  Remember, "Sunday is for Worship!"
