Daniel 2:18-20

He urged them to ask the God of heaven to show them his mercy by telling them the secret,

So they would not be executed along with the other wise men of Babylon.

That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision.

Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.

He said,

“Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power."

Revelations from God come in many different ways.  God does not deal with any two of His people in the same way.  God recognizes us as unique creations and treats us that way!  The story of Daniel's dream interpretation is a perfect example.  All of the astrologers and priests had already weighed in on the king's dream.  They had already proclaimed that no one could know the meaning of the king's dream.  They all tried to get the king to reveal his dream so they could be the favored "answer-giver!"  The king knew better.  Daniel appealed to a higher power.  God revealed the meaning of the king's dream to only Daniel.  There was only one right answer.  All of the false prophets would be executed.  Maybe they had the right idea!  As a pastor, I truly wish that all the false prophets would somehow go away.  They confuse and confound everyone for their own sake, but claim the name of Jesus.  When one of the false prophets, that the Bible warns us about in almost every chapter, makes a "Biblical claim,"  take time to research it and determine if it truly came from God.  The Lord will never contradict His Word in private meetings with us.  His message is always consistent.  We need to make sure that we are!!!  Like Daniel, if we listen to God for the one and only true message, God will do amazing things.  God will never tell us to hurt people.  He will never encourage us to be conniving.  No message from God will ever conflict with Biblical truths.  We must rejoice in our uniqueness and celebrate our revelations from God.  "Make Sure it is His Voice We Hear!"
