Romans 16:24-26

Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says.

This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles,

A plan kept secret from the beginning of time.

But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded,

This message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere,

So that they too might believe and obey him.

We should spend more time reading the book of Romans!  There would be much less confusion in churches!!!  As pastors, we should listen carefully to what God commanded.  EVERYONE is to have the opportunity to believe and obey God.  As many of you know, we are a church that does theater.  Our theater programs are designed to be outreach to our community.  At every performance, an invitation to know Jesus is clearly stated.  It is all over our programs.  Why?  God commands us to tell everyone.  When your church is also a theater, we hear many stories from actors and audience members about their experience with churches.   Many of these people have been judged harshly by others.  Most have been rejected in God's house.  How could that be?  My answer to this question has already been stated.  We need to spend more time reading the book of Romans!  Rome was full of Gentiles that the Jewish people had excluded.  Paul came to explain that everyone was a part of God's plan, and all had the opportunity to embrace Jesus.  As we know, the Jewish church did not take kindly to Paul's words.  It was those that considered themselves to be righteous, that stood in Paul's evangelistic way.  This fact is hard to swallow, but still very true.   Let's do what Paul says to do in his letter to the Romans.  Whether it be actors or architects, dancers or doctors, "techies" or teachers, "God Wants Them All and So Should We!"
